TURKEY ORDERING BASICS:
We think that the best thing about Thanksgiving (aside from spending it with friends and family members) is the turkey! Plus, who doesn't love turkey leftovers? Turkey hot dish, turkey noodle soup, hot turkey sandwiches - yes please!!
So, having too much turkey isn't necessarily the worst thing ever. BUT, you also don't want any to go to waste. Do you know which size to order?
Here is the general rule on turkey portions:
Having too much is always better
Purchase 1 pound of turkey per person. 20 people attending? Order a 20 pound turkey. It couldn't be easier!
If you are like my family and definitely want some leftovers, then we suggest 1.25 lbs per person.
